Use Inkscape to automatically trace a raster image (scanned artwork), then import the vectors (DXF) into AutoCAD and prepare for the laser engraver. This method works well for high-resolution raster images with clear edges.

If you are creating neon plaque from your artwork, start by creating an 80mm x 80mm rectangle that will represent the size of the neon plaque. For other applications, measure and draw you sheet/workpiece.
