Growth Mindset
A growth mindset is the belief that abilities, intelligence, and skills can be developed through effort, practice, feedback, and learning from mistakes.
People with a growth mindset tend to think:
- “I can’t do this yet.”
“Mistakes help me learn.”
“Effort helps me improve.”
“I can learn new strategies if I’m stuck.”
“Feedback helps me grow.”
This is different from a fixed mindset, which assumes abilities are set and cannot change much.
