HOW TO LOCATE THE RESULTS OF THE 2015 and 2016 PLC SHAREOUT SURVEYS
June 2015 and July 2016
The responses from the PLC Share Out template are in the process of being sorted into searchable “THEMES” and also posted under “SCHOOLS“. Many PLC projects fit into multiple thematic categories and so you may find your projects under a few different areas, so do explore the other Themes! Under the school buttons, you will find the results of the PLCs that were shared from each school. Keep in mind, not all PLC teams submitted their project before the template was closed. If you would like to submit your team’s project now, please email Leah Taylor at SD71PLC@gmail.com and she will send you the template questions and will manually update your responses to the Learn71 website.
SD71 DISTRICT WIDE SHARE OUT 2015
As described in the Professional Learning Community STAIRS model, an essential component of effective PLCs is sharing among our peers and other stakeholders the key details of our PLC journeys and projects as we proceed through our action research or inquiry cycles. By sharing our experiences and strategies, we can build an accessible inventory of resources, insights and peer connections that will help us improve student learning. Toward that end, teachers and administrators were invited to a round table discussion on what to share and how to share our learning. The preference was for an online resource to be created and the questions in this form represent the criteria that was identified as important to have collected and shared.
The purpose of this form is for teachers to gather and SHARE their PLC journeys and highlights with their peers and other stakeholders. Therefore, please keep in mind that the information gathered in these forms may be shared in part or in whole with other educators, and possibly with parents, trustees and other interested parties. For example, portions may be uploaded to the Learn71 site, MySite, or sorted into an accessible database for your future reference. If you are in the initial planning stages of your Inquiry, you may not yet have answers to some of the questions at this point in time, and that’s ok! If you have any concerns about completing this template, please contact your administrator or Tom Demeo for clarification.
Thank you for taking the time to share your projects and insights as doing so will help others understand the good work you are doing together and how it may be impacting on student learning.
