Happy Tuesday! \u200bEver find yourself working late at night or early in the morning, only to hesitate before hitting “send” on an email because it\u2019s not quite the right time? Or maybe you\u2019ve crafted the perfect message for your students or colleagues, but want it to arrive at just the right moment. \u200bScheduling\u00a0Email\u00a0Sends Five\u00a0Different Ways\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

(Classic Desktop, Online Webmail, New Desktop, iPhone, Android):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Classic Outlook on\u00a0 your Desktop:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Write your email like you normally would<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Click on\u00a0Options\u00a0<\/strong>at the top and then click on\u00a0Delay Delivery<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>3.\u00a0 Fill out\u00a0the section on\u00a0Delivery Options.\u00a0<\/strong>Make the\u00a0Do not Deliver Before<\/strong>\u00a0time the time you would like it to send.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 You will need to have your computer turned on and email open at the time you would like the email to send.\u00a0 Ex.\u00a0 For the one above, any time after 8:00 AM that I open my email, that email will automatically send.<\/p>\n

Outlook Webmail:<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are using Outlook online follow these instructions:<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Compose your email as you normally would.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Click on the arrow to the right of\u00a0Send\u00a0<\/strong>and choose\u00a0Schedule Send\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Choose one of the options that they give you or pick\u200b\u00a0Custom Time<\/strong>\u00a0and put in your own date and time.<\/p>\n

4. Make sure your computer is on when that time comes.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n

New Outlook on your desktop:<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are using the new Outlook on your Desktop computer, it is a little easier.\u00a0 You are welcome to use the new version (click the slider in the top right to switch). It can be a little glitchy still
\n1.\u00a0 Compose your email as you normally would.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Click on the arrow to the right of\u00a0Send\u00a0<\/strong>and choose\u00a0Schedule Send\u200b<\/strong><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Choose one of the options that they give you or pick\u200b\u00a0Custom Time<\/strong>\u00a0and put in your own date and time.<\/p>\n

4. Make sure your computer is on when that time comes.\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n

\u200bOn your iPhone:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Compose your email like you normally would.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 When you press the send arrow, hold your finger down for a few seconds.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Select the choice that you would like<\/p>\n

On Your Android Phone:<\/strong>
\nUnfortunately, I don’t have an Android phone but this is what I found when I looked it up:\u200b<\/p>\n

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Gmail app .<\/li>\n
  2. At the bottom right, tap Compose.<\/li>\n
  3. Create your email.<\/li>\n
  4. At the top right, tap More .<\/li>\n
